For weeks, LG started providing details of its new LG Velvet, a phone that obviously will stop betting on innovations and experiences to focus more on what to do, i.e. attractive design, high-capacity cameras, good screen and excellent battery independence.
The LG Velvet is a mid-range device, although that’s not why it’s a power-poor phone. LG’s success has been the installation of Snapdragon 765G, and although it does not offer the same performance as Snapdragon 865, it is a powerful chip that can handle almost any task in the phone.
The company also added to the phone 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal memory.
Its main attraction lies in the design, which bears the LG’s special seal at the back, because it does not follow the direction of other manufacturers to include a square unit, in fact, the sensors are separated from each other, making the phone appear elegant.
It also comes with very stunning colors, especially green and pink with orange, which depending on the light will change the hue.
In the photography section we have a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. So at least the photography section doesn’t seem to be the most surprising thing about this device.
The phone also includes a large capacity battery 4,300 mAh accompanied by fast charging, also supports the fifth generation 5G technology and runs on Android 10, while at the screen level it is 6.8 inches.
LG unveiled this phone in South Korea, and stated that it will put it on sale on May 15. At the moment, details like price and international availability have not been revealed, but it is very likely that we will see it reach international markets in the coming months.
